Nikkei gains 0.4 percent
Japan's Nikkei 225 scaled a 15-year peak
of 20,264 points, with a weaker yen overnight helping sentiment. In early Asian
trade, the US dollar was fetching 121.14 yen.
The Tokyo bourse got a boost from the country's upbeat first-quarter
growth figures on Wednesday, hitting 20,278 points during intra-day trade,
marking its highest level since end-June 2000.
