MSCI's broadest index of Asia-Pacific
shares outside Japan .MIAPJ0000PUS was down about 0.1 percent. Japan's Nikkei
stock index N225 fell about 0.4 percent after hopes for a resolution to
Greece's debt crisis helped propel it to its highest level since 1996 on
Wednesday.
Wall Street logged broad losses overnight, but US stock futures ESc1
edged up about 0.2 percent. The euro was steady on the day at USD1.1203.
The dollar was also nearly flat on the day against the yen at 123.87.
