Nikkei flat
Japan's Nikkei 225 index flip-flopped
in early trade, as investors digested the slew of monthly indicators released
before the market open.
The core consumer price index, which includes oil products but excludes
fresh food prices, dipped 0.1 percent in September from the year-ago period,
official data showed, worse than expectations for a 0.2 percent annual gain.
