Nikkei opens in positive territory
Japan's Nikkei 225 opened nearly 1 percent higher on Wednesday, as investors
keep an eye on the Bank of Japan's two-day meeting, which kicks off later in
the day.
The Japanese yen made marginal gains
against the dollar, fetching 123.25.
Shares of Softbank were up 1.14 percent after the bank announced plans
to issue 370 billion yen (USD 2.97 billion) in straight bonds for retail
investors in December.
