Shanghai gains 0.2 percent
China's Shanghai Composite extended gains into a third day, while the blue-chip CSI300 index retreated after hitting a four-month high in the previous session. The yuan opened at 6.4786 per dollar, weaker than the central bank's mid-point rate of 6.4731. Infrastructure plays were broadly higher following Beijing's CEWC reforms; Long Yuan Construction added 0.7 percent while Anhui Conch Cement rose more than 1 percent.
