Nikkei 225 underperformed early Friday
as profit-taking kicked in after the bourse charged up to 15-year highs for the
second straight session yesterday.
Airlines were among the laggards in early trade; Japan Airlines plunged
nearly 2 percent, while ANA Holdings ticked down 0.3 percent following lower
oil prices overnight.
